I have been a professional portrait photographer for over 15 years. I love new challenges, education and Nikon lenses! I love family photos - yes, even the challenging ages, senior portraits, business headshots / promotion shoots, and SO much more!

I didn't set out to become a photographer, but thankfully God knows me better than I do! After graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design I pursued a job in the arts ministry at an amazing mega church in the Savannah, GA area. God called me back home to Nashville, however, and opened the door for a career at a portrait studio. I became a manager with the company a short time later but left as my family grew. I have had a passion for photography ever since I was a teen and love that it is now my (semi) full-time profession (alongside domestic engineering!)
In general, I love creating works of art and I also have a passion for writing as well as website and graphic design. I currently do work in those areas as well, for our family business, Premier Flooring, local charities and other organizations. Gardening is another growing passion of mine... Because, ya know... I don't have enough going on! I strongly believe that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well.
I don't take enough pictures of my own family... I know I am bias, but my four kids are stinking ADORABLE and I really need to get better at this! (P.S. ALL kids are adorable and beautiful gifts from God and I LOVE that I get to capture this!)
I would be so honored to work with you and your family and show you - just a glimpse - of your amazing God-given beauty!

What do you love about photography?
I love being challenged creatively regardless of the unique details of each and every job. I love that I will forever be learning. I love overcoming the technical challenges. I love showing people how amazing they are through photography.
Favorite things?
Snuggles with my kids and hugs from my super supportive, awesome hubby.
Describe your artistic style...
Home. Sincerity. Joy. Depth. Passion.
I use natural light as much as possible but enjoy the creativity and control studio and strobe lights bring. I try not to re-touch too much when editing. My goal is to show the best version of YOU (and not the blemish you happened to wake up with that morning, or the bruise your child got the day before photos. Why does it always happen the day before photos?!? Lol.)
I love capturing authentic moments and interactions. Even if the scene is completely posed, I will still attempt (yes, sometimes unsuccessfully!) to make you laugh or talk about something that makes you feel strong or inspired.
